The Chess Club allows students to get together to play friendly games of chess, work on their mastery of the game, and practice good sportsmanship. The club is open to students in grades 2-8.
Blessed Sacrament Children's Chorus harnesses the power and joy of music and what it brings to our lives as we work play & pray! Children in the choir will learn basic music theory as well as begin to develop a well rounded repertoire of various genres and styles of music. Students in grade 4 are involved in all aspects of this broadcast, including news writing, cameras & microphones, computers (PowerPoint), sound & video mixing, and news presentation.
Students in grades 3-8 meet after school in the library on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 to help with library duties, such as shelving and processing books, putting up or taking down displays and helping with the Book Fairs.
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Chapter of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has been established for the following purposes: to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in the students of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.
Membership is open to students in grade 8. To be considered for membership, students must be in the top 15% of their class during their seventh grade year. An induction ceremony for new members will be held during the end of year Awards Assembly.
The 5th Grade Safety Patrol helps with the safe loading and unloading of students in the morning and afternoon car lines. Students open car doors for students, assist the faculty members in directing students & traffic, and help younger students load their book bags into their cars.
The Student Council represents and serves the student body. Elected Officers and Representatives in grades 5-8 are responsible for organizing and sponsoring all activities of the Student Council.
